Welcome to
1010 Oglethorpe
Community from the start.
In the old days, musicians used to release albums, a collection of songs surrounding one theme, one idea. This exploration sent the listener on a journey with the artist. These days, it seems that musicians often release “records” with one random song after another and no thematic element tying things together. No album. Just a string of disconnected songs with no theme or exploration of life’s joys and larger questions, like what it means to be one person in a world of many.
The same observation can be applied to the way many developers operate these days. We used to build homes; now we build houses. We used to build neighborhoods, and now we build subdivisions. Can you remember the last time you experienced a newer construction home in a setting designed thematically? In a setting that was as important as the layout of the home being built?
At 1010 Oglethorpe we set our sights first on the community as home and the “roof over your head” as your little retreat within that community. 1010 Oglethorpe is revitalizing the concept of intentional community, the concept of living simply so we all may simply live. We believe a symbiosis can be achieved through the larger community of Athens coming together to consider each other as all a part of one big neighborhood. 1010 is the beginning of something big in the ATH, and we invite you to explore what we believe will be a singular living experience. Join us.
